🇨🇦 Vancouver's Ultimate Hiking Spot: Panorama Ridge
Set your alarm for 6:59:59 AM two days in advance to snag a ticket online! 🎫 No license plate needed—just fill in your name and email to receive a QR code. There are three parking options, with Rubble Creek being the closest. If you miss the ticket, arrive before 7:00 AM to avoid checks 🚗💨 Parking fills up quickly after 7, but roadside parking is available. We left Richmond at 5:30 AM and navigated to Rubble Creek Trailhead. Arrived at 7:00 AM—parking was almost full, but no ticket check! The first 6-7 km are shaded with well-maintained trails and minimal rubble. At the 6.5 km mark, we reached the split between Taylor Meadows and Garibaldi Lake. We chose Taylor Meadows—breathtaking views but no shade ☀️🦟 Mosquitoes were relentless! After Taylor Meadows, we circled a mountain to reach the base of Panorama Ridge. The toughest part was the final 2-3 km—loose rubble and pure willpower! 💪 We took lots of photos along the way and summited at 1:30 PM. Headed back down at 2:30 PM, returned via the same route (skipped Garibaldi Lake). No stops on the return—back at the parking lot by 6:30 PM. Restroom spots: Two at the trailhead parking lot 🚻 One at the 6.5 km split (Taylor Meadows vs. Garibaldi Lake) Two at Taylor Meadows Campground (7-8 km mark) One past Taylor Meadows Signal was spotty in Taylor Meadows but available before and after. Strong signal at the lakes below Panorama Ridge and on the summit itself 📶 Though exhausting, the views were absolutely spectacular and worth every step! 🌄😍 Tips: Wear comfortable shoes + long sleeves/pants for mosquito protection 👖 Bring trekking poles or sticks 🥾 Pack plenty of water & snacks 💧🍎 Apply sunscreen & consider a mosquito-net hat for ultimate bug defense! 🧢🦟 #CanadianLife #VancouverLife #VancouverHiking #VancouverMountains #RockyMountains #Garibaldi #PanoramaRidge #GaribaldiTickets #InstagrammableSpots 🏔️📸
