πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Vancouver Island Food Review No.16: Duncan Brunch

On the weekend, we tried a brunch spot in Duncan recommended by netizens! The cafΓ© is set in a charming house, and the food was delicious! 😊 I didn’t pay enough attention to the drink menu when ordering – kinda regret not trying their three-sample flight of alcoholic drinks! 🍹 Duck & Cover πŸ¦† Confit duck Eggs Benedict – highly recommend trying this! The duck was tender and flavorful without any gamey taste. The cherry jam inside cut through the richness perfectly, and the house-made tomato sauce was refreshing. The potato slices were crispy outside and soft inside – but eat them quickly before they get cold! Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Warm Land Welcome 🐟 Smoked salmon Eggs Benedict – I didn’t realize it was raw smoked salmon when ordering. Great for those who love raw smoked salmon – generous portion of fish, but it was a bit too rich for my taste. Rating: 🌟🌟🌟 Hash πŸ₯” We chose the sausage version topped with poached eggs and served with toast. The diced tomato sauce was tasty! The potatoes were cubed and fried perfectly, and the combination with red peppers and sausage was flavorful. Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 3rd Street Original πŸ” Highly recommended beef burger! The bun was toasted to perfection, the beef patty was juicy and thick, and the cheese added extra richness. The fries were also delicious. Burger lovers, this is a must-try! Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ (4.5) Nook & Cranny πŸ§‡ We added mixed berries – the waffle itself was absolutely amazing, probably the best I’ve had at a restaurant! However, the berries were frozen and not great. Maybe skip the berries or try a different topping! Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ (4.5) After your meal, you can check out the nearby totem poles or explore the mural town – both are great options! 🎨 Overall Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ (4.5) Heads up: There aren’t many tables, so be prepared to wait if you go late. There was a long line when we left!
