🇨🇦 Victoria | ✨ Barb’s Fish & Chips | Street Food Review

Barb’s Fish & Chips 📍 1 Dallas Rd, Victoria In a nutshell: Located at another pier in Victoria, this is a fairly famous fish & chips spot — but not as good as the one I posted about earlier! 🐟🍟 💯 Personal Rating (Out of 10): Taste: 6/10 Ambience: 7/10 Value: 6/10 Overall: 6/10 After eating sashimi and still feeling hungry, we strolled to Victoria’s Fisherman’s Wharf (with those colorful floating houses!) and tried this place. We skipped the fish & chips and ordered: Fried Oysters 🦪 Fried Clams 🐚 Seafood Chowder (comes with garlic bread) 🍲 Tartar sauce for dipping — enough to cover the table! Fried Oysters: Juicy inside, but the sea flavor was way too strong 😅… saved only by the tartar sauce! Try it for curiosity’s sake. Fried Clams: Meh. Very little dry meat inside, and the batter was like popcorn shrimp coating — you’ll fill up on crunch alone. Seafood Chowder: Okay-ish. It was raining, so warm soup felt nice — but not as rich or flavorful as the chowder at Granville Island. I saw other people ordering fish & chips — the batter looked thick and unappealing. Not as good as the one at the downtown pier! Verdict: Fine for filling your stomach, but nothing special. No need to go out of your way. If you really want fish & chips, stick to Red Fish Blue Fish! 🙌 #FoodReview #VictoriaEats #StreetFood #SeafoodLover #TravelFoodie 🌊🍤 #MehExperience #StickToTheClassics 😅🚫
