๐ณ๏ธ BC Ferries Book tickets in advance (I booked 10 days early) ๐ถโโ๏ธ Passenger: $17 | ๐ Vehicle: $85 Slightly cheaper for the earliest and latest sailings โด๏ธ 7:15 AM โ Arrive at the terminal and queue The line starts moving 20 minutes before departure ๐ Note: Check-in required between 1 hour and 30 minutes before sailing โด๏ธ Sailing time: ~1.5 hours โ๏ธ Coffee shop on board sells breakfast pastries and cakes ๐ 9:50 AM โ Arrive at Vancouver Island terminal ๐ธ Butchart Gardens (10:30 AM โ 12:15 PM) ๐๏ธ Ticket: $47 (can be purchased on-site) Three main areas: Sunken Garden: Most elaborate, widest variety of flowers, with a fountain Rose Garden: All kinds of roses ๐น Japanese Garden: Landscape-focused, features two red bridges ๐ ๐ฐ Hatley Castle (12:45 โ 1:30 PM) Historic castle architecture, not too crowded, great for photos ๐ธ โ Murchieโs Fine Tea & Coffee (2:00 โ 2:30 PM) Tiramisu: Light, soft, with a hint of coffee liqueur Cheesecake: Tart jam, not too sweet, well-balanced Oat Latte: Slightly bitter, pairs well with sweets Great value! Also sells cups, tea, and coffee ๐ต ๐ Red Fish Blue Fish (2:30 โ 3:30 PM) โฑ๏ธ Waited 40 minutes in lineโbut totally worth it! Fish is super fresh, coating is crispy Fries are fried to order (only 3 portions at a time)โso fragrant! ๐ ๐ธ Fan Tan Alley (3:30 โ 5:00 PM Not many unique shops, but worth a quick visit if time allows ๐ Il Terrazzo (5:00 โ 6:30 PM) Reservation highly recommended! It was already full at 5 PM 1๏ธโฃ Cervo (Venison): No gamey taste, tender like steak. Side dish was a bit abstract though ๐ 2๏ธโฃ Spaghetti Carbonara with Beef: Extremely tender and flavorful!
