šŸ“ 512 Yates St, Victoria, BC V8W 1K8 Tucked away in Victoria Downtown, this little Korean spot is technically known for fried chicken—but funny enough, I never seem to end up ordering it! šŸ˜‚ The place is tiny with limited seats, so if you show up late, you might have to wait. It’s always surprisingly busy, though this time, the serving us was a bit slow on the uptake—no biggie, just a little quirk! āœ… Creamy Shrimp & Mussel šŸ’°20 Tastes great, but fair warning—it’s pricey, and they’ve upped the price again! There are only about 6 mussels and 5-6 shrimp, but they’re super fresh. The mussels are well-cleaned (no grit!), tender but not rubbery, and the bottom is piled high with crispy, juicy cabbage shreds. The sweet soy sauce seasoning is subtly sweet and so flavorful—definitely a standout! 🦐🦪 āœ… Pan Fried Udon šŸ’°21+3 I added an extra portion of noodles and asked them to stir it all together—smart move, because they gave more sauce, so it’s never bland! The udon is on the thin side but still chewy, and there are little seafood bits like mussels and squid mixed in. The whole dish is sweet (thanks to that glossy sweet soy sauce coating everything), and even though I’m not big on carbs, I couldn’t get enough—plus the tiny seafood pieces are chef’s kiss! šŸœ āœ… Original Pork Belly šŸ’°30 The 铁ęæ (hot plate) pork belly is fragrant and delicious! The meat is perfectly handled—each slice is marbled, tender with a little chew, and not dry at all. It’s simply seasoned with salt, and the onions and bell peppers on the side are just as tasty. Only downside? The portion’s small—feels like 2/3 of the plate is onions! šŸ„“ šŸ†— Deep Fried Fish Ball šŸ’°12 Three skewers, 4 balls each—they’re just like the dense frozen fish balls you get at the supermarket, taste-wise! The outside is slathered with ketchup and mustard, which is a weirdly nostalgic combo—tastes like a fish sausage hot dog, honestly. Not mad about it, but not rushing to order again either! 🄢 #Canada #CanadaFood #VancouverIsland #Victoria #Foodie #LifeSnippets #FoodTour #MyDailyLife #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGemRestaurant #GlobalFoodSquad #FoodCheckIn #SoloDining #EatsAndTreats #ChimacFriedChicken #Chimac #VictoriaKoreanFood #KoreanFood
