🇨🇦 Victoria Food Review No.14
I'm back! This time I tried a classic brunch spot that's been around for nearly 40 years! Had to check it out. Turns out, you really need to know how to customize your order or choose dishes wisely to avoid disappointment... We ordered four items, and honestly, they all felt pretty similar – nothing special, just okay. 😕 But the foreigners at the next table had such colorful and exciting-looking dishes – no idea what they ordered! If you plan to go, make sure to do some research first... We tried the weekend special: Omelette with house-made chorizo sausage😍 Meh... it was just average, nothing memorable. Eggs Benedict – forgot the exact name, but it was pretty basic.🎶 Ordered two servings of "The 222 Headache" – accidentally both pancake versions. One with chorizo sausage, the other with bacon as sides. Wow... when it arrived, we were shocked! The portions were huge! But the taste was just meh. 🥞😐 Overall, none of the four dishes we ordered are worth recommending. In short, this is a very traditional brunch place. Since you can customize your sides, it's better for those who know how to mix and match! Honestly, I still prefer Blue Fox. Heads up: If you're going with a group, everyone must be present before you can be seated. 👯♂️ John's Place Restaurant 723 Pandora Ave, Victoria, BC V8W 1N8 #VancouverIsland #Victoria #Brunch #VictoriaFood #FoodReview #VancouverLife #VictoriaBC #VictoriaBrunch 🍳🥓🧇
