🇨🇦 Whistler Ski Trip – Guide 1️⃣: Lift Tickets, Accommodation

Booked my Whistler ski trip during the Chinese New Year holiday in early December—pretty much blindly, without fully realizing how epic Whistler really is! 🎿 👉 Lift Tickets: A friend told me to book early, so I grabbed a 4-day blockout pass on Dec 1 (the last day of sale) for CAD 418 per person—CAD 40 cheaper than the version that includes Canadian long weekends. The very next day, that same price could only get a single-day lift ticket! 😱 Later learned about cheaper options like Epic Pass rentals (can’t verify reliability, but no ticket checks so far in two days). 👉 Stay: Checked multiple apps—hotel prices were insane. Then I remembered Airbnb! Scrolled through many listings and probably picked the cheapest one at that time. The room was bigger than expected. 📍 5 days for under CAD 1500 in Creekside Village—quiet, less crowded. Walk or drive to the gondola. Close to gas stations and supermarkets. Good value! 👉 Parking: Search for “Creekside Parkade”—FREE all day and INDOOR! 🚗✨ Much better than the Whistler Village parking lot. Friday: arrived at 7:50 AM, parked right by the elevator. Saturday: arrived at 7:50 AM, P1 was almost full. Will update later in the week! 👉 Whistler Mountain: Friday: first tracks at 8:00 AM 🏔️ Saturday: packed by 8:00 AM! Gates open around 8:10 AM, lifts start at 8:15 AM. On Saturday, we were on the gondola by 8:30 AM. Greens here = Blues elsewhere Some Blues = Blacks elsewhere Fresh corduroy and powder early on❄️, but after 12 PM… chunky snow, ice patches, and moguls. Creek to Lake (Blue): steep section turns icy in the afternoon. Harmony Piste (off Harmony lift): steep toward the end. Symphony lift: several blues go through glades. Scenic greens and blues are narrow with cliff edges—might cure (or trigger!) fear of heights 😅 Red House Lodge: great for breaks, but the run back from Harmony is… adventurous lol. 👉 Food on Mountain: Epic Pass gets discounts (not daily tickets). Coffee: ~CAD 7 Ramen: CAD 23 Taste and price are acceptable for a ski resort. Whistler is truly a world-class mountain—so breathtaking that skiing almost feels like just a way to get around. Don’t stress about technique—just enjoy the views! 🏔️❤️ You’ll need to be comfortable with black runs at other resorts to fully enjoy most blue/green runs here (no comment on off-piste). It’s snowing today—heading back to Whistler Mountain tomorrow! Will update tips. Separ guides for Blackcomb and town food coming soon! 🍻 #WhistlerSki #SkiWhistler #WhistlerBlackcomb #SkiCanada #WhistlerGuide #SkiTrip #SnowSeason #TravelBC #AdventureTime 🎿⛷️❄️
