π¨π¦ Yoho National Park Adventure Guide: MUST VISIT Yoho!! π
After a year in the US, I've checked off 10 national parks and got my Canada visa extension to explore Canada's national parks. Yoho is incredibly beautiful and didn't seem too affected by wildfires. We started from Vancouver, stayed overnight in Salmon Arm, and due to lack of planning, woke up at 8.8 in Salmon Arm the first morning to grab tickets for two lakes at 8.10. 1. Enter https://reservation.pc.gc.ca/ at 6:50 am Vancouver time to book your shuttle!!! π 2. After grabbing tickets, go to Revelstoke/Golden for shopping and eating. Yoho Route: - Natural Bridge Lower Falls: Checkpoint - Natural Bridge: Checkpoint - Faeder Lake: Checkpoint - Emerald Lake: Rent a CANOE for 1 hour ($100 CAD)/ Emerald Lake Loop Trail 5.2 km, 2 hours / or just take photos at the checkpoint/swim at the shore. - Yoho National Park Visitor Centre: Closes at 6 pm - Field Town: Lunch/Find a place for a picnic (cafΓ© Truffle Pigs Bistro & Lodge) - Meeting of the Waters Confluence: Checkpoint - Takakkaw Falls: Trail 1.8 km, 30 min - Lower Spiral Tunnel Viewpoint: Checkpoint - Dinner: Banff Town - Accommodation: Calgary "Checkpoint" means you can almost see it without walking, just by getting out of the car. Highly recommend Emerald Lake and Takakkaw Falls! Because we went a bit late, we couldn't do the canoe, but we swam a bit and then hiked to the waterfall. Remember to wear lots of clothes, it's cold but absolutely worth it! ποΈβοΈ #CanadaNationalParks #CanadaTravel #Yoho #yohoNationalPark #YohoNationalPark
