🇨🇱 Chile | Coastal Citywalk in Valparaíso
We left Santiago at 9 AM on Sunday 🚗💨—smooth traffic all the way! When we arrived in Valparaíso, the streets were still waking up: shops closed, vendors just setting up stalls. I bought a small stone and an oil painting as souvenirs 🎨✨. Our guide, though rugged-looking, was a total artsy soul 🎶📖—knowledgeable about music, literature, and handicrafts. His tour style reminded me of my shopaholic bestie (also a former guide)—he got way more excited than us tourists! 😂 Though small, Valparaíso has plenty of universities 🎓. We hit the main photo spots: ⛪ Churches 🎨 Graffiti-covered alleys 🛗 Vintage funicular elevators By mid-morning, cafés and bars began opening ☕🍷. I didn’t know much about Chile’s famous poets, so our guide enthusiastically schooled us on Pablo Neruda 📜 while we drove to neighboring Viña del Mar ⏳—a quaint town known for its floral clock and sundial (which we glimpsed from the car). Outside the history museum stood an Easter Island Moai statue 🗿, and the beach was lively with joggers and skaters ⛸️🌊. Heading north to Concón, the vibe shifted dramatically: sleek, modern architecture (💰✨) and fresh Pacific seafood 🦞. We soaked up the Southern Hemisphere sun ☀️ on the sand, watching sea lions bark on the rocks 🦭 and kids daring the chilly waves—pure energy! A sun-drenched coastal citywalk 🌈🏖️ perfectly wrapped up the day. #WinterByTheSea #SeasOfTheWorld #Wanderlust #GlobalCheckIn #ChileTravel #Valparaiso#CitywalkDiaries #TravelWithJoy 😊
