🇨🇴 Medellín Travel Diary (Part 1/2: Activities)

Since I tend to ramble, I've split my Medellín guide into two parts! This first installment covers what to do—stay tuned for food, accommodation, and transport tips in Part 2. 🌟 Top Experiences Day 1: Comuna 13 City Walk Must-do: Zippy Tour's free walking tour! Led by local guides (fluent in English) who share personal stories about the area’s transformation. Way more meaningful than just snapping photos solo—history comes alive! Tip: Though "free," please tip your guide (suggested: 50K+ COP). They deserve it! P.S.: The iconic photo spot (P3) charges 10K COP—staff take professional shots (no cameras allowed, but trust them—it’s worth it!). Day 2: Guatapé Day Trip Book with Zippy Tour (109K COP, includes breakfast/lunch + transport). Our group had ~15 people (mostly Spanish-speaking locals)—super friendly despite the language barrier! Climb El Peñol Rock: Stunning views, but the 700+ narrow steps are tough—descend carefully! (Entry fee not included.) Day 3: Museum of Antioquia & Plaza Botero Entry: 40K COP. Highlights: 3 floors of exhibits—don’t miss the 3rd-floor collections and Botero’s iconic "chubby" art. Plaza Botero: Free outdoor sculptures perfect for photos! 💃 Nightlife Pro Tip We hopped between several disappointing disco/night clubs until a local friend advised: → Only go to places labeled "dance club"—that’s where the real fun happens! Stay tuned for Part 2 (Eats, Stays & Transport)! #ColombiaTravel #Medellin
