🇩🇪 “Before the Berlin Wall fell, no one believed it would fall.”
“And after it fell, no one believed it had stood there for so long. The things people’s eyes can see are so limited.” Before coming to Berlin, these words and the “German Panzer” (the country’s iconic tough image) summed up my entire impression of Germany ⚽. So on my first day, wandering through Berlin under a blue sky and bright sun, I was shocked—this city was way more lively than I’d imagined ☀️! Germany is a place that abides by rules absolutely, yet also breaks constraints in pursuit of freedom. No matter how you look at it, I knew I’d love Berlin—and being here only confirmed that feeling 💖. Just like when I arrived in Italy and Spain before, I found myself thinking, “This smells like Germany”—even though I can’t quite put into words why. Maybe it’s the German sense of order and discipline, etched into every wall of this city 🧱. Berlin always gives me this illusion of “restraint yet boldness.” When graffiti pops up on the walls of neat, clean streets, it makes me remember: this city—stereotyped as serious and a little rigid—also has a history of fighting for freedom ✍️. I met a handsome German guy at a café. With my friend’s encouragement, I asked if I could take a photo of him. His shy, happy, and sincerely proper reaction was so cute 😊—it made my impression of German men jump up a few notches! The Lolla Festival was amazing, but I do regret not having more time to explore Berlin. Still, that just gives me a reason to come back again 🍃! #Berlin #Germany #BerlinTravel #DocumentingLife #LifeFragments #BerlinTourism #Freedom
