🇩🇪 58-Euro Ticket Worth It: Göttingen Day Trip

🚂 From Kassel → Göttingen (1.5h direct train) Started happily, then—surprise!—another strike?! 😤 Not even Wednesday anymore, huh? Had to Bolt my way around (thanks for saving me, but still walked 25k steps 💀). PS: Bolt scooters need a little push before takeoff… whyyy? 😅 Highlights of the Trip 🌟 1️⃣ The Goose Girl (Gänselisel) 🦢 – Apparently, only PhDs can kiss her now. When I graduate, I’ll bring flowers too! 🌸 The nearby Bullerjahn restaurant has cool architecture—that lion statue has such a sharp nose, totally different from Chinese ones lol. 2️⃣ Old Town Hall & Churches ⛪️ – Right next to the Goose Girl, gorgeous historic buildings everywhere. 3️⃣ Old Botanical Garden 🌿 – Not much blooming yet (visited March 14), but tons of wild garlic (Bärlauch)! Can’t pick it though. The tunnel to the restroom was… an experience. 😂 4️⃣ Bismarck Tower 🗼 – Only outside viewing (no climbing). Great for hiking! Detoured to: Wildgehege Schwarzwild 🐗 – Saw wild boars! Pepe’s Squirrel & Deer Enclosure 🦌 – No deer spotted, but hey, more Bärlauch! (Free foraging = stir-fry time! 🍳) Passed a beer garden and a horse stable – Fancy horses wearing RAINCOATS?! No wonder Germany dominates Olympic equestrian. 🏇✨ 5️⃣ Geology Museum 🦴 – As an earth science nerd, had to check it out… but meh. Just a uni department display (fossils, minerals, etc.). Not even close to China’s proper geology museums. 😐 6️⃣ Architecture Vibes 🏡 – Every house looks like it’s from the movie Vivarium (seriously, Germany’s suburbs are the OG eerie suburbia).
