🇩🇪 Berlin | No-Backtracking Sightseeing Route
I finally went on my solo trip to Germany, and my first stop was Berlin! The attractions are very concentrated – you can easily cover them in 1 to 1.5 days. I really loved Berlin and hope to return for a longer city walk next time! 🚶 Recommended Route: Berlin Cathedral → Marx & Engels Forum → Alexanderplatz → Berlin TV Tower → World Clock → Brandenburg Gate → Reichstag Building → Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe → Potsdamer Platz → Checkpoint Charlie → Jewish Museum Berlin → East Side Gallery 🚇 Transport: Get a 24-hour day pass! Airport: ABC zone ticket City center: AB zone ticket Covers all public transport. Don’t forget to validate your ticket! ✅ (I wasn’t checked, but better safe than sorry.) 🏛️ Attraction Highlights: Berlin Cathedral: Baroque/Renaissance style – gorgeous outside! 🏛️ (Entry requires a ticket, but you can just walk in.) Marx & Engels Forum: Just a quick stop on the way – nothing special. Alexanderplatz + TV Tower + World Clock: 10-min walk from the cathedral. The TV Tower is visible from afar 🗼, but honestly, not as impressive as some other towers. The World Clock is right on the square. Brandenburg Gate: Iconic 200-year-old monument 🏛️ – always crowded! Reichstag Building: Book 1-2 weeks online 🎫 or try the white booth across the street same-day (bring your passport!). The glass dome offers amazing city views. Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe: A moving, maze-like field of concrete blocks. Potsdamer Platz: Modern commercial hub 🏙️ with cool architecture. Checkpoint Charlie: Historic border crossing – don’t miss the warning sign in four languages! There’s a souvenir shop nearby 🧱. Jewish Museum Berlin: Europe’s largest Jewish museum – deeply historical. East Side Gallery: Famous for the “Fraternal Kiss” mural 💋 – a powerful symbol of Cold War history. #Berlin #GermanyTravel #OneDayInBerlin #SoloTravel #EuropeTrip
