🇩🇪 Cologne Food Recommendation | SILK ROAD Restaurant 🍛🔥
📍 Address: Karl-Berbuer-Platz 7, 50678 Köln Opened in 2020, SILK ROAD specializes in Central Asian cuisine — the flavors are very similar to Xinjiang food from China! 🐄🌾 They offer classics like Dapanji (big plate chicken) and Latiaozi (hand-pulled noodles). I ordered the PLOW — a hearty dish with beef, carrots, and rice, served with a tomato salad 🥕🍚. It tasted like a beef version of shouzhua fan (hand-grabbed rice). The tomato salad was incredibly fresh and delicious! 🍅😋 My friend had the GAN FAN — stir-fried lamb with vegetables and rice 🐑🥬. We also tried two flaky baked buns as appetizers 🥟. The filling options are beef, potato, or chicken — we chose beef. One bite and the crispy, buttery pastry with savory beef exploded with flavor — so good! 👌 The only downside was the long wait — almost 40 minutes for our food ⏳😅. But the portions were huge! One bun plus a main course kept us full from lunch until dinner — meat really fills you up! 💪🥩 A must-try if you’re missing hearty, meaty, Xinjiang-style meals in Germany! #Germany #StudyInGermany #LifeInGermany #FoodRecommendation #Cologne
