🇩🇪 Day Trip from Bonn — Cochem
Cochem is nestled in the heart of Riesling country, surrounded by terraced vineyards 🍇. Of course, you can’t visit without tasting some local wine! We went to: 🥂 Weingarten Cochem 📌 Moselpromenade 59, 56812 Cochem Absolutely top-tier recommendation! ✨ Great wine, stunning views (right facing the Mosel River!), comfortable seating perfect for sipping wine and soaking up the sun ☀️, and delicious food. We ordered a tasting flight of 6 wines 🍷, currywurst, pizza 🍕, and a cheese platter. As we enjoyed our meal, we watched sunlight filter through the lush trees, gazed at the vineyards across the river, and saw boats 🚢, cyclists 🚴, cars 🚗, and buses passing by… Pure bliss! ❤️ Fully charged with energy to get through the winter! 💪 After visiting the castle, we also stopped at a café: ☕️ Villa Krain Atelier-Café 📌 Josef-von-Lauff-Straße 52, 56812 Cochem The view was fantastic — but the food was disappointing 😅. We had two slices of cake, one coffee, and one tea for €18.50. The service was very friendly though, and there was even live music 🎶 — great atmosphere! The 30-minute walk from the castle was lovely: a shaded, quiet path that passed a small lookout point where we spotted a tree full of chestnuts 🌰… too high to pick, unfortunately 😔. We even found some chestnuts scattered on the ground near the café, but couldn’t find the tree they came from — maybe the wind blew them down from the hill! That’s all for now! #Germany #LifeInGermany #Bonn #MoselValley #WineTasting
