🇩🇪 Delicious Restaurant Recommendation in Heidelberg!
📍 Oskar Restaurant u. Vinothek Haspelgasse 5, 69117 Heidelberg I can honestly say this is a truly recommendable restaurant — every dish was delicious and not overly salty (which is already a win in Germany 😂). 🍷 The red wine steak was lean but still perfectly tender. Although everyone ordered medium-rare, I’d say it was closer to medium — but still delicious! The red wine sauce was amazing, and the potato tart alongside was also great (though the cabbage underneath was a bit salty). 🍲 The soup of the day was made with winter root (not sure what exactly, similar to parsnip) — and it was the star of the meal! Incredibly rich, smooth, and comforting. Maybe I was just super hungry, but I finished it in seconds 😅. Light on salt, big on flavor. 🍞 Their homemade bread spread was also a highlight — fresh, light, and way better than any supermarket cheese. 🍰 We tried a creamy cup for starter (not sure what it was, but the cream was smoother than most bakeries!). Dessert was chocolate mousse with blood orange — decent but not mind-blowing. The menu is available on their website — it’s not extensive, but they specialize in a few signature dishes. Prices are on the higher side: this full meal, including two glasses of wine and sparkling water, came to around €75 per person. But totally worth it for the experience! ⭐ Google rating: 4.6 — and I agree! #LifeInGermany #StudyInGermany #HeidelbergUniversity #Heidelberg #HeidelbergFood
