🇩🇪 First Stop · Dortmund, Germany📍
After landing in Frankfurt, I headed straight to my friend’s city—Dortmund—and was pleasantly surprised by how convenient the travel was! 🚆 The main train station (Hauptbahnhof) is a hub of activity, with a shopping center right across the street and the city center just a short walk away. Perfect for dropping off luggage and diving into exploration! 🎒✨ 🎻 A Missed Musical Opportunity🔥 One slight disappointment? Not being able to visit the Orchester Zentrum! 😢 I was really hoping to peek inside the rehearsal halls of Dortmund’s symphony orchestra—maybe even catch a few musicians practicing. But alas, it seems I’ll have to wait for a live performance and buy tickets to experience the magic properly. 🎼🎫 (Note to self: Check the concert schedule next time!) 🔥🔥🔥 🎵 A Classical Music Detour While wandering the city center, I stumbled upon a CD store—a true gem for music lovers! 🎶 Flipping through the racks, I spotted Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, and my inner double bassist (Kontrabass Spieler) immediately perked up. That piece is famously challenging for bass players, with passages that demand precision, power, and endurance. 🎻🔥 It was a fun reminder of my student days, wrestling with those demanding runs! ✨ Why Dortmund? ✔ Easy Transit: The central train station connects seamlessly to major cities, making it a breeze for travelers.🔥 ✔ Compact & Walkable: The downtown area is packed with shops, cafés, and cultural spots—no need for complicated transport.🔥 ✔ Hidden Cultural Gems: From classical music hubs to indie record stores, there’s more to discover beyond football (though BVB fans, don’t worry—Signal Iduna Park is a must too! ⚽). 📸 Final Thoughts? A Promising First Stop!🔥🔥 Dortmund might not be as flashy as Berlin or Munich, but it’s got character, convenience, and charm. Whether you’re here for music, history, or just passing through, it’s worth a day (or two!) of exploration.🔥🔥 #Dortmund #NRW #DoubleBass #Beethoven #ClassicalMusic #GermanyTravel #ExploreEurope #SymphonyNo9 🔥🔥
