🇩🇪 Germany's 58€ Monthly Ticket Adventure: Paderborn, NRW 🚜

Last week’s stash—didn’t get around to posting. This place is mainly for church architecture ⛪️, but my goal was to check out vehicles, so I swung by the Tractor Museum. The churches were just quick photo ops (didn’t go inside), but the tractor museum isn’t worth a special trip—save €8 by browsing pics online (student ticket €6, lol). 1️⃣ Tractor Museum (Deutsches Traktoren- und Modellauto-Museum) 📍 Paderborn 🚗 Why I went: BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche museums are too far from Hesse! Found this 🚜 museum instead. Not worth a detour unless you’re passing through for car shopping. PS: Nearby car markets sell used A1s for ~€8k Tempting! But getting a German license costs €3k+… maybe I’ll research Hague translations or short-term rentals. Tractors: Exhibits show Germany’s agricultural mechanization since the last century. As a non-engineering major, it’s no match for Lamborghini-level excitement… BUT they have Clarkson’s Porsche tractor! Instant joy—he wasn’t lying! 😆 Highlight: The 2nd-floor miniature collection (🚗🚛🚜🚑🚒🚓) stole the show. A must for model car/die-cast fans! Bonus: A few vintage Mercedes. Shell Oil branding everywhere (sponsorship power!), but where’s the Ferrari? 😏 2️⃣ Paderborn Town ⛪️ Churches galore, but I missed the famed three-eared rabbit statue 🐰—next time! 💻 Heinz Nixdorf Computer Museum (didn’t visit). 🌊 Scenic river + 200+ springs = "City of Fountains." 🚍 Transport warning: Many routes unreliable. Might get a €10 monthly pass next time. Left early, so didn’t explore much. 🍝 Food Review Pasta: €12-13, decent. But the hand-tossed pizza was the star—chefs slapped that dough like it owed them money! 👨‍🍳💥 "Artisanal Lemon Tea" (€5): A scam. Literally Arizona iced tea poured over a lemon slice. The Marburg drink I had last time was way better. 😒 Verdict: Come for the churches, skip the tractor museum (unless you’re a die-hard Clarkson fan). #Tractors #LifeInGermany #VintageCars #OffbeatMuseums #MonthlyTicket #StudyInGermany #Paderborn #TravelDiaries
