🇩🇪 Hannover’s “Little Nara”: Where Deer Roam Free 🦌🌲

(“When deep in the woods, you see deer; by the stream at noon, you hear no bells.”) Hannover’s Tiergarten was one of the few peaceful escapes during lockdown — a quiet, enchanting deer park perfect for a calming stroll. Though compact (you can walk through in about an hour), its atmosphere is timeless. 🌿🕰️ With a history stretching back over 300 years, this park once belonged to Duke Johann Friedrich. Today, however, the true rulers here are the 100+ wild deer that roam freely across its 112 hectares. You might spot them almost anywhere — be patient and walk gently! 🦌❤️ 🐗 There’s also a family of wild boars in one enclosed corner — the babies are literally the size of a palm and unbelievably cute. Yes, even pigs can be adorable! Don’t worry, they’re fenced in and pose no danger. 📍 Address: Tiergartenstraße 117 — take U5 directly there. 🚫 Don’t mix it up with the main Hannover Zoo nearby — this is a different, more natural experience. ⏰ Opening hours: Daily 7:00 - 16:30. Open even during lockdown, but may close in extreme weather. 🎫 Admission: FREE! 📸 A kind local reminded us to keep a respectful distance from the deer so as not to scare them — no feeding or touching, just quiet appreciation. A magical place for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone craving a moment of peace among gentle creatures. 🌳📷 #Hannover #Germany #DeerPark #Tiergarten #Wildlife #NatureLovers #TravelGermany
