🇩🇪 Hannover Day Trip
Travel Diary 📔 Hannover turned out to be way more shopping-friendly than I expected – almost like Hamburg! 😄 Right outside the Hauptbahnhof (main station), there’s a whole pedestrian zone full of stores: TK Maxx, Zalando Outlet, Mango, and so many more. 🛍️ Coincidentally, there was some kind of photo festival going on. While I was taking a picture of what might (or might not 😂) be a Patrick Star lookaline statue, an old gentleman stopped me to ask about my camera model and said it looked cute. (Sorry though – wasn’t really in the mood to chat, just wanted to keep moving 🏃♀️) The weather was gorgeous ☀️, but I gotta say – Hannover doesn’t feel super touristy. Some attractions were a bit… meh. But luckily, I caught the final show of the annual International Fireworks Competition – the Slovakia edition! 💥🇸🇰 It was beautiful, though it started pretty late and ended even later. When it was over, the metro was PACKED – for the first time since coming to Germany, I felt like I was back in the Beijing subway 😅 📘 Tips & Takeaways: 1️⃣ The red line walking tour starting from the station is okay, but some stops (like certain cafés 🫖) are skippable. Information center was closed on Saturday – couldn’t grab a brochure. 😢 2️⃣ Some places I wanted to visit were closed – remember to check seasonal openings (October in this case!). 3️⃣ The market was basically a flea market – met some interesting folks, but overall just alright. 4️⃣ Highly recommend the fireworks show if you time it right! Heard there was a China night too – sad I missed it 🎆❤️ 5️⃣ DB… is never on time 🚆💢. Almost missed the last bus back around midnight. Had to full-on sprint 🏃♀️💨. Plan your return trip carefully, folks! #Hannover #WeekendInHannover #TravelGermany #GermanyTravel #EuropeTravel
