1️⃣ Wurst-Basar 🌭🍖 A chain store specializing in pork knuckle and sausages, also offering duck legs. The ultimate choice for great value! For just €7.50, you get a crispy-on-the-outside, tender-and-flavorful-on-the-inside pork knuckle, served with a side of sauerkraut that takes it to the next level. I also love pairing it with their tangy red sauce — it cuts through the richness and adds a delicious twist. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2️⃣ Five Guys A globally famous fast-food chain, right? My first meal in Hannover was their Little Cheese Burger — make sure to order it "all the way" to get all the veggies, or you’ll end up with just a patty in a bun 🌱🍔. Their hot dog is just okay, not as satisfying as the burger. The Cajun-style fries are a must-try — slightly spicy and super tasty. Their Oreo milkshake is absolutely amazing 🥤😍! They even have a bacon-flavored milkshake — has anyone tried it? Plus, unlimited soft drinks for €3.75 and very clean restrooms! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ (4.5/5) 3️⃣ Mimi's Thai Kitchen 🍛 A cozy Thai restaurant with delicious curries. There’s another highly-rated Thai spot near Hannover Hauptbahnhof — I’ll update after trying it next time! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4️⃣ Restaurant Yakamoz 🔥 A Turkish grill restaurant. The grilled meat is aromatic and flavorful, and the chili peppers are extremely spicy 🌶️!!! Good value, nice atmosphere. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5️⃣ Block House 🥩 A chain steakhouse. Good service, but the food is just average. Their house red wine is quite nice though 🍷. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ 6️⃣ Fernost / Far East Chinese Restaurant 🍚 Must-orders: Mouthwatering Chicken and Braised Beef Brisket. Seafood Tofu Pot is also decent. The rice dish in the photo was ordered by a foreign colleague from the "Westernized menu" — she loved it, but it wasn’t really my taste. Clearly tailored for local preferences 😅.
