Just tried what’s said to be Heidelberg’s BEST crispy roasted pork knuckle in the old town — and it did NOT disappoint! 🐷✨ Their roasted pork knuckle, sausages, and pork chop are all delicious. But the highlight? The portions are MASSIVE! 😱 The star is definitely the roasted pork knuckle — €23 for a giant serving. The skin is incredibly crispy (you can literally hear the “crunch” when cutting into it!), and the meat inside is super tender and flavorful. 🍖 We also ordered the sauerkraut separately (€4.99) — highly recommend it! The sweet and sour taste cuts through the richness perfectly. We also tried their grilled sausages and pork chop — both juicy and well-seasoned. Even the drinks are served in HUGE sizes! 🍺 Germans really know how to drink — beers come in giant mugs, and even non-alcoholic beverages are enormous. Keep that in mind when ordering 😂. The restaurant itself has such a cool vibe — thick stone walls, vintage wooden beams, chandeliers, and decor with wine barrels 🏰🍷. It feels like stepping into a medieval underground castle — atmosphere absolutely on point! And surprise — they even have a Chinese menu! No stress ordering at all 📖. The location is right on the bustling main street of the old town, next to the Heiliggeistkirche (Church of the Holy Spirit).
