🇩🇪 Ingolstadt Public Transport Guide

Just visited the Audi Museum (Audi Forum) and Ingolstadt Village Outlet – here’s a quick guide for those without a monthly ticket (though honestly, getting one is way more cost-effective! 😆). 🚆 Train from Munich to Ingolstadt Book your ticket a few hours in advance on DB (Deutsche Bahn). Choose the "Munich-Nuremberg" regional day ticket – €29 for one person, €39 for two 🎟️. This ticket allows unlimited travel between Munich, Ingolstadt, and Nuremberg for the entire day (no stress if you miss your booked train!). From Munich ZOB, take RB16 to Ingolstadt Audi or RE1 to Ingolstadt Hbf. 🚌 Local Buses in Ingolstadt At the bus stop, use the yellow ticket machine (switch to English) and select the "Zone 100" blue circle option. Single-day ticket: ~€5 💰 Group ticket (2 people): €10.5 👫 No need to validate – the ticket shows the exact time, and the driver checks it when boarding. 📍 Getting to Key Spots 1️⃣ Audi Museum Take Bus 11 or 15 and get off at the Audi stop. Walk between the two Audi buildings – the left one is the HQ, the right one is the museum 🏢🏛️. (Currently under construction, so a bit tricky, but friendly locals will guide you! 🚧) 2️⃣ Ingolstadt Village Outlet From the same Audi Museum bus stop, take Bus 15 or 9223 (towards ZOB, heading south). Get off at Nordbahnhof/West (next to Ingolstadt Nord train station). Transfer to Bus 20 or 22 (Ingolstadt Village direction) – a 10-minute ride and you’re there! 🛍️🛒 💡 Pro Tip If you're planning multiple trips, a monthly pass might save you more! But for a day trip, this works great. #Ingolstadt #AudiMuseum #IngolstadtVillage #MunichDayTrip #PublicTransport #TravelGermany
