🇩🇪 Munich Travel Diary|2-Day Trip
A November city walk in Munich, the capital of Bavaria—windy enough to almost blow me away 🥶🥶🥶. Here’s a little recap of the trip 💗 ✅ Must-Visit Spots Munich Residenz: Got lost following Google Maps and never found the entrance 😅 The Residenz is a complex—try locating "Munich Museum" for better directions. Marienplatz: The city’s living room and a must-see. Surrounded by Gothic architecture and home to the famous Fischbrunnen fountain. New & Old Town Hall: Features an 85-meter clock tower with a famous glockenspiel. At 11 AM and 5 PM, figurines reenact Duke Wilhelm V’s wedding and scenes from the plague era. Asam Church: Baroque and Rococo style, stunning interior. Dim inside—no food, drinks, or flash photography allowed. BMW Museum: One of Germany’s most-visited tech museums, filled with BMWs through the ages. Don’t miss the mini car models at the exit 🚗. Alte Pinakothek: Traces art from Northern and Southern Renaissance to Impressionism and modernism. See masterpieces like Sunflowers and Water Lilies. ⚠️ No reservation needed; tickets ~€9 (students €6, Sundays just €1!). Lockers require a €2 coin. ✅ Shopping: HALIBO Museum: Famous German candy brand! Tons of sweets and cute merch—a sugar lover’s paradise. DM Drugstore: Arguably the cheapest in Europe (Italian exchange students, cry no more 😢). Great for supplements, skincare, makeup, and medicines. Perfect for gifts! Stock is plentiful—check Red guides for recs. Go Asia Supermarket: A must for international students! Huge selection of Chinese food. Located underground—search “Go Asia” on Google. 🍰 Food Tips: Must-try German foods: crispy pork knuckle, grilled ribs, white sausage, sauerkraut, apple strudel—all meat-lover approved 🥩! And of course, German beer 🍺. Couldn’t book a popular restaurant? Don’t worry—nearby German spots offer similar flavors. Chinese food recommendations: Malatang: Málà Wǎng Max’s Handgezogene Nudeln (hand-pulled noodles!) #TravelScrapbook #Munich #MunichTravel #GermanyTravel #EuropeTravel #ExchangeStudentDiary #TravelLog
