🇩🇪 Nördlingen Expedition Report: Inside the Walls

Just took a train from Munich to what feels like Shiganshina District! The resemblance to the anime is uncanny 🏰⚔️ 🔭 Tower Perspective: Climbing the watchtower gave me the Colossal Titan's view - truly understanding the terrifying scale now. If these walls were 50m high like in AoT, no wonder Eren was so desperate to see beyond them. The human desire for freedom hits different here. 💎 Meteorite Marvel: This crater town (formed by a meteor impact 15 MILLION years ago!) has buildings made from impact rock containing microscopic diamonds. Walking the walls, I kept thinking - this is literally a diamond-encrusted fortress! 🌍 Pilgrimage Feels: • Followed the circular wall for half its 3.5km length • Spotted Survey Corps graffiti left by fellow scouts • Local bakeries = perfect stop for "bread from the interior" Fun fact: The retired tower cat (who guarded the stairs for 15 years!) is now living her best retirement life in town.
