🇩🇪 One-Month Europe Solo Trip → Bremen Story 🚆🐾
Took a train from Hanover – supposed to be just over an hour… but my train got cancelled! 🙃 I’m not one to just wait around, so I hopped on another one heading in roughly the same direction. Jumped off after one stop… waited 30 mins in the cold rain at a tiny 2-platform station 🥶☔… switched trains two more times… and finally reached Bremen 1.5 hours late. Thankfully, the return was smooth with a direct train (though it paused 20 mins midway — classic DB ⏸️). Fun fact: Bremen had trade ties with China’s Qing government as early as 1861! 👑 I wonder if Empress Dowager Cixi ever heard the Grimm’s fairy tale Town Musicians of Bremen? Back at Shanghai Expo 2010, Bremen even had its own pavilion. The four animal statues are now displayed at the Expo Museum — pretty cool, right? 🐴🐕🐱🐓 Met a friend there. We had lunch and afternoon tea ☕🍰. Honestly… the city is quite small. Not a ton to see. We mostly just chatted. Verdict: Maybe stop by if you’re driving through 🔁, reaaally have extra time, or it has special meaning to you (my friend came because table tennis star Ma Long won his first championship here! 🏓). Otherwise… maybe skip it. #Germany #TravelGermany #Bremen #EuropeSoloTrip #TrainTravel #FairytaleVibes #OffThePath
