🇩🇪 Renaissance Superstar's Home 👉 Sharing Space with Dürer
The Dürer House, built in 1420, is located at the foot of the Kaiserburg in Nuremberg's old town and is one of the oldest half-timbered houses in Germany. 🏰 Albrecht Dürer bought and personally designed the sandstone and half-timbered structure in 1509, even incorporating geometric codes into the stair railings! It served as both his studio and residence. As most of Nuremberg was destroyed and later rebuilt, Dürer's house miraculously survived, with only minor roof damage. 🌟 Albrecht-Dürer-Haus Opening Hours: Daily 10:00-17:00 (extended to 18:00 in summer) Closed on Mondays (except holidays) Kitchen and Pantry: The stone fireplace and oak cabinets display medieval cooking utensils (such as long-handled iron pots and earthenware jars). 🍳 #RenaissanceSuperstar #HighArtExhibitions #HiddenGemsInGermany #ImmersiveExperiences #ArtHistoryTrivia #AlbrechtDürer #DürerHouse #Germany #Museum #Nuremberg
