๐ฉ๐ช Rothenburg Guide | A Super-Charming Medieval Town
After visiting Nuremberg and Bamberg, I arrived in Rothenburg โ the most relaxed and picturesque of them all. ๐ Rothenburg ob der Tauber No must-see attractions in a rush โ the joy lies in strolling through ancient streets and discovering lovely surprises. So many craft shops full of German character! ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ ๐๏ธ Attractions: โถ The classic postcard spot: Plรถnlein ๐ผ๏ธ With its mustard-yellow half-timbered house and two iconic towers (one tall, one short) in the background. Tip: Come before 8 AM or later in the afternoon โ after 8, tour groups crowd the area. โท Town Hall Square ๐๏ธ The heart of the old town โ the Town Hall is located here. โธ The City Walls ๐งฑ Surrounding the old town. Climb up to the second level for great views and a walk along the historic stone path. ๐ฆ Food: โถ Eiscafe ๐ง A century-old ice cream shop (since 1913!) โ almost everyone around had a cone. Two scoops for just over โฌ3 โ delicious and photogenic! ๐ถ Cash only. โท Tobingo ๐ฅ A Turkish kebab spot recommended by Lonely Planet โ decent but not amazing. ๐๏ธ Shopping: Plรถnlein Street is lined with craft shops selling wooden, ceramic, and other traditional souvenirs. Also check out Teddys โ a toy store full of adorable animal plushies! ๐งธ ๐จ Accommodation: China Restaurant Hotel Lotus ๐ช A Chinese-run hotel with friendly service. Rooms are simple; the first floor is a restaurant serving Chinese food. ๐ ฟ๏ธ Parking: Thereโs a free parking lot outside the old town (free from 8 PM to 8 AM). Note: Sometimes individuals may โguideโ you to park and ask for money โ I paid โฌ2 for peace of mind. #MyTravelGuide #GermanyTravel #ExploreGermany #GermanAdventure #Rothenburg #Plonlein #MedievalTown
