A casual day trip to Munich with a twistāskip the usual spots and dive into museums! š Itinerary Breakdown š 7:41-10:55 AM: Train from Würzburg Hbf to München Hbf š 12:00 PM: Lunch at a Chinese restaurant (Xiang, Alter Messeplatz 4) near the hotelācraving for hometown flavors satisfied! šļø 1:30-3:00 PM: BMW Museum Book tickets online; student ticket: ā¬8 per person. Perfect for car lovers to geek out over history and designs! šØ 3:45-4:45 PM: Alte Pinakothek (Old Pinakothek) Buy tickets on-site; student ticket: ā¬6 per person. Immerse yourself in European art masterpieces! š 5:15 PM: Bavarian State Opera (Bayerische Staatsoper) Watched La Fille du rĆ©giment (The Daughter of the Regiment). But since I bought tickets too late, the seat was terribleāI couldnāt see the stage at all! Ended up leaving early after the first act š. š 7:30 PM: Random German restaurant for dinnerāsimple but hearty! š¶š»āāļø 8:30 PM: Stroll back to the hotel from the old town Note: It gets dark early in winter, and the streets feel a bit unsafeāstay alert! Iām certain Munich is a city Iāll revisit. Plus, my travel buddy had already seen the classic palaces and churches before, so we skipped the regular check-in spots and chose museums we both hadnāt visited.
