🇩🇪 This Small Town in Bavaria Is Full of Surprises! 😍

Landshut This was the location of my first project, but I never got to explore the town itself. Who knew northern Bavaria could be so full of hidden gems? Like Neuburg an der Donau I visited earlier, Landshut is also a relatively underrated city—rarely mentioned in travel guides, but totally worth the trip! The town features an incredibly long main street lined with houses 🏘️ painted in so many colors that even guys might struggle to name them all (haha!). The well-preserved facades are absolutely charming. There’s also a castle on the hill 🏰, and the Isar River flows nearby with a small dam—perfect for family walks and photography! 📸 A friend who’s been here also mentioned that every four years, the town hosts a grand medieval festival 🎪 where people fully recreate historical lifestyles and costumes. Definitely something to watch out for! 🚗 About 1 hour 10 minutes from Munich by car It’s best to visit in the morning—the main street gets shaded in the afternoon due to the sun’s angle ☀️⬇️. You can explore the castle in the afternoon. It feels like this region was once filled with tiny kingdoms, given how many castles you find in each city! Further up near the Danube, there’s even more to see. #Germany #OffTheBeatenPath #HiddenGems #Munich 🇩🇪✨
