đȘđŠ One day tour to Zaragoza, Spain
đ° Zaragoza: Spainâs 5th CityâA Gem That Keeps Wowing This was my second trip to Zaragoza, and it still stole my heart. Familiar streets, that warm, golden sunlight⊠this city balances historic weight with modern energy like no other. Diving deeper this time? Totally worth itâthose ancient spots made so much more sense. âȘ Zaragoza Cathedral: A Stylistic Firework (Not Your Average Church) Forget âplain and properââthis cathedral is a chaos of beauty. It blends Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles, like a history book come to life. One corner has sturdy 12th-century Romanesque walls (humble beginnings as a small church), the next soars with Gothic spires, while Renaissance arches and gilded Baroque details pop up everywhere. Itâs a mishmash that somehow worksâloud, proud, and totally unforgettable. Pro move: Climb to the top (âŹ6, 15 minutes). The view? Stunning. Zaragoza unfolds belowârooftops, plazas, and that iconic Spanish sky. Worth every step. đ Royal Palace: The One That Got Away (But You Can Nab It) We missed the Royal Palaceâclosed at 6 PM, and we arrived too late. Bummer, but lesson learned: Go early! Tickets are âŹ7, and itâs right in the mix of historic spots. Add it to your listânext time, Iâm there at opening. đ Getting There: Easy Peasy from Madrid 10:30 AM train from Madrid â 1:20 PM in Zaragoza. Hop on bus Ci3 (25 minutes) â straight to Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar (another must-see, right near the cathedral). Zaragoza isnât just âSpainâs 5th cityââitâs a sleeper hit. Historic, lively, and full of surprises, itâs the kind of place youâll want to revisit. I already am. #Zaragoza #SpainTravel #HiddenGems
