πͺπ¬ Luxor Travel Guide: Balloons, Temples & Tips!
1οΈβ£ Transportation π We booked a private car from Aswan to Luxor via inDrive for 1800 EGP (ended up paying 2000 EGP because the driver worked hard to find our Airbnb! π). Though I lost his contact due to WhatsApp updates, I recommend choosing drivers with 4.8+ ratings and newer cars for a reliable experience! 2οΈβ£ Accommodation π¨ Stayed at an Airbnb on the West Bank (close to hot air balloons and Valley of the Kings). Pro Tip: East Bank is better! ποΈ Why? Closer to Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple π. More dining options π½οΈ and easier access to amenities. West Bank attractions require long walks in extreme heat (we skipped Valley of the Kings! βοΈ). 3οΈβ£ Hot Air Balloon π Booked with Sindbad Balloon (highly recommend! β ). Remember to book one day in advance! They collected our deposit at 23:00 (Egypt time) and picked us up at 4:30 AM next day. Payment: Deposit online, balance paid onsite. Weather-dependent π¬οΈ: Flights may cancel if windyβcheck forecasts! Fun Pre-flight Activity: Group circle hand-holding ritual! π Toilet Fee: 5-10 EGP at the launch site. Video Service: Negotiated to 300 EGP for the flight video (download via Google). Views: Sunrise over the Nile is absolutely magical! π π 4οΈβ£ Karnak Temple π A MUST-SEE! Ancient engineering will leave you in awe! π€― Food Tip: A nearby local restaurant is delicious and cheap! π The owner offers boat rides across the Nile to the temple (from West to East Bank). Note: You might need to climb a small fence when disembarking! π π€οΈ Weather: Hot but slightly cooler than Aswan! #Egypt #EgyptTravel #Luxor #LuxorBalloon #KarnakTemple #LuxorTravel #EgyptGuide πͺπ¬β¨
