🇪🇸 3 Days 2 Nights in Madrid

Took the high-speed train from Barcelona Sants to Madrid Puerta de Atocha — about 2 hours 45 minutes. Spent 3 days and 2 nights exploring Madrid! 🏠 Accommodation Booked a two-bedroom suite with kitchen and bathroom on Booking.com. The living room has a sofa bed — fits four people comfortably. The apartment was clean and had a cute European-style balcony. Located in the city center — steps from the metro, supermarkets, and restaurants. Name shown . 🛞 Transport Bought a 10-ride metro/bus pass for our short stay — easy to get from metro ticket machines. 🥘 Food After lots of Spanish food in Barcelona, we craved ramen in Madrid 😄 Must-tries: Caracola Madrid (Mercado de Antón Martín, 2nd floor): Famous Basque cheesecake — pistachio flavor was a hit! Papizza Fuencarral: Small BBQ pizza slices — delicious and convenient. Churros with chocolate sauce: Classic Spanish snack Fresh orange juice from supermarkets: Sweet and refreshing after a long day! Day 1 Arrived in Madrid at 1:30 PM → dropped bags at the apartment → ate ramen at a nearby Japanese spot → started exploring! 1️⃣ Mercado de San Miguel: Food market with tapas, ham, seafood, and local bites. 2️⃣ Puerta del Sol: Central square with statues of Carlos III and the Bear and the Strawberry Tree. Also found a Coco bubble tea — tasted like home! Day 2 Madrid’s “Golden Triangle of Art”: Prado, Reina Sofía, and Thyssen-Bornemisza. We visited two: 1️⃣ Reina Sofía: Home to Picasso’s Guernica and modern art. 2️⃣ Prado Museum: World-famous works like Las Meninas and a version of the Mona Lisa. Huge collections — we couldn’t finish it all! Day 3 Only had a half-day before flying to Lisbon → focused on one major sight: 1️⃣ Royal Palace of Madrid: Student tickets available — opulent and grand! After the palace, grabbed one last bowl of ramen and headed to the airport. A relaxed, food-filled, easygoing trip — perfect for slow travel! #StudyAbroadTravel #Madrid #TravelGuide #EuropeOnABudget
