🇪🇸 Gaztelugatxe: Dragonstone Island in Spain's Basque Country 🏝️🍋
On sunny days, Gaztelugatxe in northern Spain’s Basque Country is absolutely stunning! 🎫 Admission: FREE Reserve in advance on the official website: You’ll receive a QR code via email — scan it at the entrance. If there are few visitors, you can also register on-site by scanning the QR code. 🚗 Car Rental: We rented a car from Bilbao Airport — it’s about a 40-minute drive. 🅿️ Parking: Navigate to the parking lot (see last photo). The attendant charges €3.50. ☕️ Restaurants: Right outside the parking lot, you’ll find two restaurants: Left side: Amazing views 🌸 — green fields and hydrangeas in bloom! Perfect for coffee with a view. Right side: Beautiful glass windows — great for photos. We ate here. The staff didn’t speak English, so we pointed at what others were eating 😅. Food was okay, hygiene so-so. ⛰️ Visit Tips: 💦 No shops inside — buy water at the entrance stall or you’ll regret it! 🚾 No toilets inside (there’s one at the top near the church, but it’s closed — probably a dry toilet draining into the sea 🌊). 👟 Wear comfortable shoes! The climb is steep and tiring, but the views are worth it — it’s the real-life Dragonstone from Game of Thrones! #IslandLife #EndOfTheWorldSea #TravelSpain #BasqueCountry #Dragonstone #MagicalPlaces #HowToExperienceIslands
