Thanks to local friends, I got to explore the city like a true insider! ✨ Why San Sebastián? Perfect summer escape: Mild temperatures even in peak season (unlike scorching Mallorca/Menorca). Birthplace of Basque cheesecake — invented at La Viña restaurant right here! 🍰 San Sebastián To-Do List: 1️⃣ Devour Basque cheesecake & seafood pintxos 🍽️ Try La Viña’s iconic cheesecake + Loco Polo’s version (available everywhere!). 2️⃣ Sunbathe and watch sunset at Shell Beach 🌄 Evening live music by street performers adds magic to the seaside vibe. 3️⃣ Ride the Funicular Monte Igueldo 🚠 Panoramic views of the bay and city! 4️⃣ Visit Beltza Records 🎵 A small but curated vinyl shop in the city center. 5️⃣ Catch fireworks during Semana Grande 🎆 If visiting in summer (1-week festival), nightly fireworks at ~10 PM by the sea! 6️⃣ Find vintage photo booths 📸 Mobile newspaper photo carts pop up randomly on streets (pay what you want!).
