🌴I chose Mérida for its Roman ruins, concert hall, Basilica of Santa Eulalia, monuments, museums, Roman theatre, and bridge - witnessing Rome in Spain felt magical. 💗On arrival, walking from my hotel meant crossing the ancient Roman bridge. One side held modern buildings, while the other revealed the weathered Roman fortress ruins. 💛The transition felt like stepping from the present into a fading past—until the Emerita Lvdica festival brought it to life. 🌈 Locals dressed as Romans, their vibrant costumes breathing energy into the sunbaked ruins, letting us glimpse how ancient Romans once lived. 🏛️ Time-Travel Highlights National Museum of Roman Art: Its concrete-and-brick walls, mirroring Roman techniques, left me awestruck. 💎Roman Theatre & Amphitheatre: Echoes of gladiator clashes and epic dramas.Temple of Diana & Roman Circus: Whispers of imperial grandeur. 💎Crossing back over the bridge, the bustling "Roman" world faded behind me—a dream that couldn’t last, but one I’ll never forget. #SpainTravel #RomanHistory #HiddenGems
