El Pestorejo: A Mixed Experience in Mérida

✨When we first arrived in Mérida, desperate for coffee and breakfast, El Pestorejo came to the rescue. With its charming outdoor seating—perfect since we had our dog with us—and friendly service, it seemed like the ideal spot. ✨The breakfast was satisfying, and the coffee hit the spot, setting a positive tone for our day. 🌴Later that evening, we returned for wine. Despite being near the bustling Christmas Plaza and packed with diners, we managed to snag a table. 🌴 The wine selection was surprisingly good—so much so that we ended up staying longer than planned. Four glasses of excellent wine for just 8.50 USD? That’s a steal! The lively atmosphere and attentive waitstaff made it a memorable experience. 🌈El Pestorejo is undeniably popular, offering a solid mid-range tapas menu, and it’s consistently packed—both with tourists and locals. ⭕It’s one of the best spots in the area, but that popularity comes with a downside: service can be inconsistent, and the food has become noticeably saltier over time. #TravelMexico #DogFriendlyDining #TapasAndWine
