🇪🇸 My Favorite Restaurant in Philly

As a student who’s lived in Philly for five years, I’m sharing a treasure of a restaurant that won me over in just one visit — a Spanish spot tucked away in lush greenery, with a lovely garden patio! 🍽️ Barcelona Wine Bar 🇪🇸 📍 Address: 1709 E Passyunk Ave, Philadelphia, PA 💰 Price: ~$30 per person Almost every tapas dish was a hit, and I found what I consider the best seafood paella in Philly! This is the kind of place I’ll bring friends back to again and again — amazing food and vibes. 🌿✨ 📍 House Bread Freshly baked, served warm — fluffy inside, crispy crust. Paired with extra virgin olive oil, it’s the perfect start. 📍 Mushrooms A La Plancha Cooked on a cast-iron griddle with just a touch of pepper, salt, scallions, and balsamic. Highlights the natural earthy flavor of mushrooms without feeling oily. 📍 Eggplant Caponata A must-order! Sweet and tangy stewed eggplant with tomato sauce, honey, raisins, and caramelized onions — perfectly balanced and appetizing. 📍 P.E.I. Mussels Fresh mussels steamed in white wine and butter — so fragrant! Dip the bread into the broth for an extra delicious bite. 📍 Truffled Bikini My absolute favorite tapa! Toasted sandwich filled with Ibérico ham and truffle-infused mayo. One bite and the truffle aroma takes over — absolutely addictive. 📍 Paella Mariscos The #1 seafood paella in Philly! Less salty and oily than Oloroso or Amada, packed with seafood, and subtly perfumed with saffron. The rice is cooked just right — tender with a slight bite (al dente), so it never feels heavy. 📌 Tips: For two people, order the half paella — only $24 and plenty to share! Reserve ahead — especially on weekends, it gets packed! Try the Summer Street Sling cocktail — fruity and refreshing. 🍹 Skip Oloroso & Amada — smaller portions, average taste, and lower value for money. #PhillyEats #SpanishFood #BarcelonaWineBar #HiddenGem #PaellaLover #TapasTime
