šŖšø Travel Diary | Madrid is So Romantic!!
Itās in the colors ā the moment you step out of the station, youāre greeted by painted skies, vibrant streets, and luminous, lively nights š (I felt so safe walking around, it reminded me of home! š„¹) Some heartwarming moments from the trip: š¶ A stubborn little dog refused to keep walking, leaving its owner stuck in the middle of the street ā we couldnāt stop laughing and had to snap a photo with the scene! š½ Restaurant reco: La Sanabresa The waiter (a sweet, chubby young guy) was adorable! Even with limited English, he tried so hard to communicate with us using gestures š„¹ When I waved and said āciao!ā on my way out, he put down everything he was doing to wave back excitedly. Kindness connects people! Oh, and the food was delicious and super affordable! š We stumbled upon a leather shop ā the elderly owner noticed we didnāt find anything we liked and warmly recommended his grandsonās bigger store downstairs (we managed to communicate via Youdao Translate š). I ended up bringing leather boots all the way back to France ā tired but happy! āļø But⦠a rant about Madrid Airport: As an international capital airport, it was surprising that most staff didnāt speak English ā some were outright rude. During security check, just because I forgot to empty my water bottle, the officer kept giving me a hard time in Spanish. Even after I poured it out, she delayed me unnecessarily. When I politely asked in English, another staff member came over and snapped, āDonāt speak Englishā (even though she clearly understood). 𤬠Honestly⦠blown away by the āprofessionalismā. #NanjingUniversity #StudyAbroadLife #TravelSpain #MadridDiary #DailyJoy
