šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡ø Travel Diary | Madrid is So Romantic!!

It’s in the colors — the moment you step out of the station, you’re greeted by painted skies, vibrant streets, and luminous, lively nights šŸŒ™ (I felt so safe walking around, it reminded me of home! 🄹) Some heartwarming moments from the trip: 🐶 A stubborn little dog refused to keep walking, leaving its owner stuck in the middle of the street — we couldn’t stop laughing and had to snap a photo with the scene! šŸ½ Restaurant reco: La Sanabresa The waiter (a sweet, chubby young guy) was adorable! Even with limited English, he tried so hard to communicate with us using gestures 🄹 When I waved and said ā€œciao!ā€ on my way out, he put down everything he was doing to wave back excitedly. Kindness connects people! Oh, and the food was delicious and super affordable! šŸ‘ž We stumbled upon a leather shop — the elderly owner noticed we didn’t find anything we liked and warmly recommended his grandson’s bigger store downstairs (we managed to communicate via Youdao Translate šŸ˜‚). I ended up bringing leather boots all the way back to France — tired but happy! āœˆļø But… a rant about Madrid Airport: As an international capital airport, it was surprising that most staff didn’t speak English — some were outright rude. During security check, just because I forgot to empty my water bottle, the officer kept giving me a hard time in Spanish. Even after I poured it out, she delayed me unnecessarily. When I politely asked in English, another staff member came over and snapped, ā€œDon’t speak Englishā€ (even though she clearly understood). 🤬 Honestly… blown away by the ā€œprofessionalismā€. #NanjingUniversity #StudyAbroadLife #TravelSpain #MadridDiary #DailyJoy
