🇫🇷🇲🇾 Stepping Into Howl’s Moving Castle

I prefer Colmar’s Christmas market over Strasbourg’s 🎄 — though equally crowded, it feels cozier! Here’s my Colmar guide for you~ 📍 Parc du Champ de Mars (Field of Mars Park) Take a photo with the "Colmar" sign in the park center 📷, then head to the Christmas market near General Rapp’s statue (Fig. 3). It’s a festive playground with food and rides! 🎠 📍 Église des Dominicains (Dominican Church) Another Christmas market spot! The church is open for visits, but the market was too packed to enter 😮‍💨. 📍 Collégiale Saint-Martin de Colmar (St. Martin’s Church) ⛪ The square beside the church (Pl. de la Cathédrale) offers great photo angles. Behind it, stroll along Platz der Liebe and enjoy Christmas decorations by the canal 🐻. 📍 Koïfhus (Old Customs House) Don’t miss the Christmas market here 🎁 — especially the stunning back area! Nearby, find the "Manneken Pis" statue by the high court. 📍 Maison Pfister This is the real-life inspiration for Howl’s Moving Castle 🥹! Feel like you’ve stepped into the anime. Just ahead lies "Belles façades" (beautiful facades). 📍 Grande roue de Colmar (Colmar Ferris Wheel) The only market I skipped due to crowds 🙃. It was packed! The wheel is inside the market. Across it, the Tanners’ District (Fig. 10) is photogenic. Nearby, relax at the library park. 📍 Marché Couvert Colmar (Covered Market) Sells food, produce, gifts, and more. Next to it is the Winemakers’ Fountain ⛲. 📍 La Petite Venise (Little Venice) Picturesque but crowded 📷. 📍 Fontaine Roesselmann (Roesselmann Fountain) ⛲ This market is less crowded (maybe because it’s farther out). The central Christmas tree has nightly lightings 🎄. #Colmar #ColmarChristmasMarket #FreeAndEasyTravel #EuropeanChristmasMarkets
