🇫🇷 Cannes Fragments | A Cruise Stop Dream Day 🛥️✨

Day 3 on NCL Breakaway – Finally, our first port: Cannes! 🌊 Morning: Arrival & Exploration Tender boats shuttled us to shore (Cannes’ port is too small for cruise ships!). 9:00 AM: A quick 10-minute ride to land. First stop: Climbed stairs to a hilltop viewpoint ⛰️ for a breathtaking panorama of the Old Town, beaches, and cityscape. 🎬 Old Town Adventures Stumbled upon a tour group 🚶‍♂️→ Wandered film-worthy alleys (Sunday = quiet, shops opened late). Marilyn Monroe Mural: Walked 1.3km to the train station… meh, not worth the hype. Walk of Fame: Found Wong Kar-wai’s handprint! Nearby, the beach called for a stroll. 🍽️ Lunch Like a Local ASTOUX ET BRUN 🦪🍤 *"70-year-old seafood legend!"* Giant oysters + ultra-fresh shrimp (€40/person). 📍 27 Rue Félix Faure, Cannes 🛍️ New Town & Sweet Treats Luxury & macarons: Splurged on a 12-piece box (€38) – Passion fruit = YES, Jasmine tea = NO. Harbor-side café: Coffee + macarons = peak Riviera chill. ☕ 🚢 Back to the Ship Dinner at NCL’s Shanghai Noodle House: Predictably terrible (why, cruise food, why?). Sunset on deck: Alpine views + passing ships = "Light boats past endless mountains" poetry. 🏔️⛵ Midnight snack: Saved by fries, fruit & ice cream at the buffet! Final Step Count: 18,000+ 👟 ("Worth every blister!") #StudyAbroad #FrenchRiviera #CannesDiaries #CruiseLife #SeafoodFeast
