🇫🇷 French Riviera Travel | Cannes: Small but Charming!

Cannes, famous for its film festival, is one of the picturesque towns along France's Côte d'Azur—small yet utterly delightful! While it’s a shame we missed the May Film Festival (no red-carpet star sightings!), we were also relieved to avoid the crowds. With perfect weather, Cannes felt like a cozy, sun-kissed paradise—just like many other charming southern French towns! 📍 Our Itinerary (The Must-Dos!) 1️⃣ Marché Forville – A lively local market brimming with flowers, fresh produce, and Provençal treats. 2️⃣ Rue Meynadier – A bustling pedestrian street with souvenirs and snacks (quality varies, but fun to explore!). 3️⃣ Lunch @ Astoux et Brun – A 70-year-old seafood institution with a prime Old Port (Vieux Port) view. Despite being a "tourist spot," the service was excellent (staff spoke English, Italian, Portuguese—essential in this global town!). Food = solid, reasonably priced! 4️⃣ Palais des Festivals – The film festival’s main venue (kids were not thrilled for photos 😂). 5️⃣ La Croisette Boulevard – Strolled along the iconic promenade, watching beachgoers soak up the sun! 🙈 Skipped or No Photos? 6️⃣ Walk of Fame – Next to the Palais, but no luck finding Wong Kar-wai’s handprint (kids were too restless!). 7️⃣ Les Murs Peints – The famous Marilyn Monroe mural was nearby, but we passed. 8️⃣ Cannes Sign – Spotted it from below, but ice cream cravings won over the climb! 🍦 ✨ Final Thoughts This route is quick & easy for checklists, but the real magic? Wandering the alleys, feeling the Mediterranean breeze, and soaking in the Riviera’s laid-back glamour! #WeekendGetaway #FranceTravel #CotedAzur #CannesFilmFestival #TravelWithKids
