🇫🇷 Just had the BEST pastel de nata and cinnamon roll in Paris!

Finally got to try the must-eat French egg tarts and cinnamon rolls! I pre-ordered the vanilla cake three days in advance, so when I went to pick it up at 10 AM, I could skip the line and buy anything else in the store. The shop was packed in the morning! 🏃‍♀️💨 If you don’t want to queue, here’s a pro tip: pre-order a cake, and you can walk in to pick it up—or arrive 10 minutes before they open at 9 AM. The line shouldn’t be too long then. Avoid going in the afternoon, though; they often sell out! 🕒🚫 The egg tart was INCREDIBLE! 🥮 I devoured it warm on the street and instantly regretted not buying more. Hands down, the best egg tart of my life—worth every bit of €12. The cinnamon roll had a subtle cinnamon flavor with apple jam and diced apples inside—such a rich texture! I’m officially OBSESSED. €8 well spent! As for the famous vanilla cake… 🍰 Honestly? Overhyped. The top layer was vanilla cream, with sponge cake in the middle, peanut butter, and a cookie-like base. It was way too rich for me—€32 for a one-time try (and never again). PS: They have a branch in London, but the prices are even higher. So jealous of French students—why is all the good food here?! 😭 📍Cedric Grolet Opéra 35 Avenue de l'Opéra #LifeNeedsASweetTouch #Croissant #France #ParisOlympics #ParisTravel #FrenchBakery #FoodieAdventure #EggTart #BreadLover
