From the train station, turn left for classic European elegance or right for modern vibes. 🌟 Classic European Highlights: 1️⃣ Plateau des Poètes (across from the station) - A must-visit park with stunning fountains, sculptures, and artistic details 2️⃣ Cathédrale Saint-Nazaire - Golden Madonna statue atop the hilltop cathedral (take the elevator for panoramic views) 3️⃣ Fresque Personnalités de Béziers - Stunning building murals (my favorite shown) 4️⃣ Old & New Bridges - Each beautiful in its own way 5️⃣ Charming old buildings & sculptures - Love the lemon-melon gelato color palette! 6️⃣ Random observation: So many barbershops in the old town! 🌟 Canal Wonders: 7️⃣ Canal du Midi (UNESCO World Heritage) - Once for trade, now for leisure, lined with Tuscan cypress trees where locals walk dogs and jog 8️⃣ Les Neuf Écluses de Fonseranes - Famous 9-lock staircase allowing boats to climb 21.5m in just 300m The water's hue reminds me of China's Grand Canal, with its lush greenery and duck quacks creating a Yangtze Delta vibe in Mediterranean France! 🌟 Perfect base to explore: Narbonne, Carcassonne, Sète, Toulouse, or Montpellier P.S.
