Back with another hidden gem—this time, it’s Béziers, a quaint town just next to Montpellier! Let me take you through some must-see landmarks for the perfect city walk 🚶‍♂️✨ 🌉 Pont Vieux (Old Bridge) A 12th-century icon (with possible Roman foundations!), this stone bridge over the Orb River is the postcard-perfect symbol of Béziers. It’s not just a historic crossing—it’s the heartbeat of the city’s identity. 🚢 Pont-Canal sur l’Orb & Les 9 Écluses de Fonseranes One of the world’s earliest large canal bridges, this engineering marvel connects to the 17th-century 9-lock staircase, where boats climb a 21-meter drop like a watery escalator! Nearby, you can even hop on a tourist train 🚂 for a scenic ride. 🌁 Passerelle Cardinal Pierre de Bonsi A sky-high footbridge leading to the cathedral, offering stunning views of the old town below. There’s even a prison-turned-hotel here—sadly, I didn’t get to stay, but it’s on my bucket list! 😍 ⛪ Cathédrale Saint-Nazaire The spiritual and visual pinnacle of Béziers, this Gothic gem stands where an 8th-century church once did.
