🇫🇷 Pittsburgh Eats | Revisiting a French Classic 🥂

Pittsburgh’s iconic must-try French destination — still absolutely exceptional! I first visited back in March 2020, right before the pandemic, and never forgot it～ Finally made it back this year! Started with Steak Tartare and Escargot I love all things tartare — this one was fantastic 🥩✨ with truffle, black garlic, and Parmesan sauce 🧀️ The snails were delicious too, served with garlic herb butter and crusty baguette — so flavorful (and guilty 😂) Mains: Mussels and Roasted Duck Sides: Roasted Carrots + Squash & Brussels Sprouts The mussels (technically a starter) are huge — we turned it into a main with extra sides! Light green curry broth, fresh and fragrant — loved it. ✨ The roasted duck breast is a MUST-order ✨ unreal tender, served with sweet potato purée and red rice — mix it all together, perfection 🤤 The roasted carrots 🥕 with whipped ricotta changed my view on carrots forever — had to get it again. Roasted squash & Brussels with maple glaze and bacon vinaigrette — deeply layered and so tasty. Highly recommend! Chocolate Mousse 🍫 Their soufflé is famous (and literally bowl-sized — enough for 4 🫣) so we went with the mousse. No regrets! Topped with caramelized chocolate palmier and salted dark chocolate crumble — not too sweet, perfect for two. 🥂 We both ordered sparkling cocktails: French 125 & French 75 (cognac/gin + lemon, sugar, sparkling wine) So refreshing — like summer in a glass! 🍾💛 And… the chef mysteriously sent us a glass of champagne — no idea why but happily accepted 😆 Didn’t snap interior pics this time, but it’s elegant and intimate — perfect for dates 💐 🇫🇷 Poulet Bleu 📍 3517 Butler St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201 If you’re visiting Pittsburgh and love French food — don’t miss this place!
