🇫🇷 Travel Guide | Mont Saint-Michel & Saint-Malo & Rennes
From Paris, just 1.5 hours by TGV to Rennes! 🚄 I chose to stay in Rennes and take day trips to nearby cities. Day 1️⃣: Arrival in Rennes Arrived late, so headed straight to Crêperie Sarrasin for delicious Breton galettes! 💰 *Price: €15-30pp* – Highly recommend! Day 2️⃣: Pirate City 🏴☠️ Saint-Malo 🚄 TER train (€8, 47min) ⏳ 6 hours was perfect to explore! 🌊 High tide (Les Grandes Marées) is spectacular—check the 2024 tide schedule (attached). 🍟 Lunch at a local bistro—their fries were amazing! Day 3️⃣: Mont Saint-Michel 🏰 🚌 From Rennes station (Nord sortie), follow the horse statue downhill to the bus stop. 📅 Schedule on P9 | 🕒 1h10min ride 💰 Tickets: Under 26: €12 (one-way) / €20 (round-trip) Adult: €15 / €25 Kids under 4: FREE 🚍 Free shuttle (12min) to the base. I walked 40min to the famous photo spot (P13)—but no sidewalks, a bit risky! Enter via the wooden gate (P14) and cross the meadows. ⚠️ Return shuttle: Long queues on the boardwalk! 🌊 For the "island at high tide" effect, aim for a tide coefficient >100 (mine was lower). 🛍️ Souvenirs: La Mère Poulard cookies—red sablé (buttery!) was the best! Got a promo: 2x500g = free cider + tote bag! 🍪🍏 Day 4️⃣: Rennes City Walk 🛍️ Visited Biscuiterie La Trinitaine for Breton treats (perfect gifts!). #FranceTravel #France #TravelGuide #StudyInFrance #MontSaintMichel #LifeInFrance ✨🇫🇷
