🇫🇷 Why You Must Spend Christmas in Colmar! 🎄 One-Day Guide

As the filming location for Howl’s Moving Castle, Colmar is known as a real-life fairy-tale town. I smartly visited early to experience the magic of Europe’s most beautiful Christmas market✨, but the first weekend was as crowded as New Year’s Eve in China! But hey—determined Chinese girls who’ve already done their makeup won’t give up! 💪 Pretty photos are a must. 🍽️ Food Tips: During peak season, plan meals early! Many restaurants don’t take reservations, close early, or have long queues. Avoid weekends if possible. 🧣 What to Wear: Dress warmly—very warmly! (Light colors photograph well ❄️). Ear muffs, gloves, and big scarves = warmth + easy photo ops! 🚈 Transport: TGV from Paris to Colmar: 2.5h Or take TER via Mulhouse to Colmar Explore on foot—you’ll find hidden gems! 📸 Christmas Photo Spots: Belles Facades: Instagrammable area with German half-timbered houses and cute bears 🧸 L’Arpège Restaurant Entrance: Has a mirror for selfies 🪞 (but don’t disturb the business!) Shop/Restaurant Decorations: Streets are beautifully decorated! No indoor photos in shops, but outdoor shots are perfect. Marché Gourmand Noël: Outdoor Christmas market with a Ferris wheel and spinning reindeer 🦌 (brace the cold for fun queues!). L’Artémise: Cozy tea spot I loved on my last trip—still warm and festive! 🫖 Petite Venise: Classic riverside spot with night projections (but crowded!). Gare de Colmar: Even the train station tells a story—vintage vibes! Ancienne Douane: Pink house with a cute mini train 🚂 (too crowded for me to shoot, though!). #Colmar #ColmarChristmasMarket #Christmas #FrenchChristmas #StudyAbroad #ParisWeekend #FranceTravel
