π¬π§ 24 Days Left in London | Cozy Udon Spot & V&A East Adventure ππ¨
π€ Koya Ko Restaurant Hackney Finally braved London's drizzle to try Koya with a friend - we accidentally ordered THREE main dishes and ended up in a serious carb coma! π΅βπ« The thick, chewy udon noodles swimming in rich broth were absolutely worth it though. Pro tip: their tempura is legendary - crispy yet light as air! β¨ Later, we sprinted through the rain to the controversial V&A East Storehouse. After reading critical takes (shoutout to Art Ba Ba's brilliant "Museum Dynamics" piece), seeing Song Dynasty cabinets displayed alongside Ghost in the Shell manga created such cognitive dissonance! π€― Spent hours hunting for info on a "Cinema" artifact (or was it?) only to realize not all items get proper descriptions. Left wondering - whose version of "visibility" are we really seeing? The curators'? The institution's? Walked in expecting profound museum experience... walked out feeling like I'd browsed a very posh IKEA. ποΈπ Must-visit for: β’ Best udon outside of Japan π₯ β’ Thought-provoking (if confusing) museum experience π§ β’ Perfect rainy day combo! β #ExhibitionViews #ContemporaryArt #ArtEverywhere #LondonDiaries #MuseumHops #ArtExhibitions #VAMuseum #MuseumStudies #UdonLovers #LondonEats #HackneyEats #JapaneseFoodUK #CarbLoading #MuseumCritique #ArtInLondon
