šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ A Pilgrimage to Warhammer HQ in Nottingham

Visited the Warhammer flagship store—first floor for merch, second floor for exhibits, shops, gaming rooms, and a bar. The 1:1 Titus statue is so epic… walked around it multiple times to admire every angle 😮✨ The exhibition hall displays models from Games Workshop over the years—huge dioramas, incredibly painted minis. I’ve only seen masterpieces online, but seeing them in real life was mind-blowing 🤯. Suddenly felt like my own painting looks like a mess… never gonna sloppily wash again lol. Their work is so clean and satisfying! Even battle-damaged versions look hyper-realistic. The scene setups are insanely cool—full-on war vibes. The big mechs made me wanna smash the glass and take one home šŸ¦¾šŸ˜ Also realized… Warhammer Fantasy might be even cooler than 40K?! šŸ‰āš”ļø There’s a board listing past Golden Demon winners—didn’t know Toronto was such a Warhammer hub šŸšŸ†. So many winners from there. Sadly, almost no Asian names—just two from Japan, and even those were foreign residents… The shop is amazing—grabbed a ton of merch and HQ-exclusive tanks šŸ›’šŸ’„. The airship was sold out though šŸ˜¢ā€¦ it looked so cute, with two little guys on it looking like they’re slacking off 🫠 They even had first-edition rulebooks! The store also displayed pre-painted new Space Wolves models—got a sneak peek šŸŗšŸ‘€. Still pre-order only for now… I recently bought the new SW box set—no idea when I’ll ever finish building and painting a whole army… maybe in another lifetime šŸ˜®šŸ’¦ Feels like Space Wolves are GW’s favorite—most displayed faction by far. Thought it’d be Blood Angels… but they were left chilling in the corner šŸ©øšŸ˜… Skip the bar tbh— I thought they’d have themed food and drinks, but it’s just a regular pub šŸ». Ordered fried chicken šŸ—ā€” waited 40 mins and still nothing. Asked and they said ā€œWe’re really busy today, your nuggets will take 1-2 hours.ā€ 1-2 HOURS?! 😳 The gaming hall had such a great vibe though—tables set up with all kinds of terrains, packed with passionate players šŸŽ²ā™Ÿļø. Too bad I’m too introverted to join in… everyone was so loyal and zealous—even cars outside had decals (lol not really). My friend and I were totally mesmerized šŸ‘€šŸ’« #Warhammer40k #WarhammerPainting #MiniatureArt #GWNottingham
